An online chapel, open day and night
Step into a quiet chapel any hour of the day. Chat is switched off there, so only prayer remains: sit in a pew, kneel, and pray in silence alongside pilgrims from around the world.

How it works
- Enter One Candle and walk through the cathedral door into the chapel.
- Choose a pew and sit or kneel. Chat stays silent in the chapel.
- Read the verse of the day, pray in your own words, or follow a prayer from the prayer book.
A look inside

Questions and answers
Is the chapel really silent?
Yes. Chat is turned off in the chapel. Pilgrims can kneel and pray, but nobody can type messages there.
Is the online chapel open all the time?
Yes, day and night, every day of the year. There is almost always someone else praying somewhere in the world.
Is this a church service or a Mass?
No. One Candle is a place for personal and shared prayer. It does not replace your parish, the sacraments or a live-streamed Mass.
What else is there besides the chapel?
A cathedral courtyard with a fountain and a candle stand, the Garden of Olives at night, a lakeside at sunset, and private chapels for prayer circles.
Can I bring my prayer group?
Yes. Create a prayer circle: it gets its own small chapel, shared intentions and a weekly prayer time.
Is it safe for my family?
One Candle is for ages 16 and up. Messages pass a filter in 7 languages, quiet places have no chat, and moderators handle reports.
