Take Heart
I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.
John 16:33 (WEB)
Jesus is honest: in this world we will have trouble. He does not hide the hard parts of life or promise an easy road. But he adds two words that change everything: take heart. He has overcome the world. Our troubles are real, but they are not the final word. If this day is heavy, you can still hold on to this: the story ends with the One who has already overcome.
