Near to All

Some people feel they must use special words or reach a certain level of goodness before God will listen. The psalm says something gentler: the Lord is near to all who call on him in truth. Truth here means honesty, not polish. A whispered “help” on a crowded bus counts. So does a tired sigh at the end of the day. Call however you can, and trust that you are heard.
