Light of the World

Jesus did not tell his listeners to become light someday. He said they already are the light of the world. A single candle in a dark room changes everything around it. You do not have to be famous to shine. A kind word to a tired coworker, an honest answer, a meal shared with a neighbor: these are small lights. Do not hide them. Someone nearby may be finding their way by them.
