In the Shadow

On a hot afternoon, people gather under the one big tree in the square. Its shade is free and wide enough for everyone. The psalm speaks of dwelling in the shelter of the Most High and resting in the shadow of the Almighty. Dwelling is more than visiting; it means making a home there. Whatever heat today brings, you are welcome to sit down beneath that shade and stay a while.
