Ask, Seek, Knock
Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.
Matthew 7:7 (WEB)
Ask, seek, knock: three verbs that grow more active as they go. Jesus invites persistence in prayer, like a child who keeps tugging a sleeve until a parent turns around. God is not reluctant or annoyed by our asking. Answers may come in forms we did not expect, or in time rather than right away. But the door is not locked against us. Keep bringing your needs. Keep looking. Keep knocking.
Prayer
Father, I bring you my needs again today; teach me to ask, seek and knock with trust.
