Come, Holy Spirit
This prayer joins an ancient antiphon from the feast of Pentecost with a verse from Psalm 104 and a short collect. It is traditionally said before study, meetings, important decisions and any new undertaking, asking the Holy Spirit for light and wisdom.
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of thy faithful, and kindle in them the fire of thy love.
V. Send forth thy Spirit, and they shall be created. R. And thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray. O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit didst instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Spirit we may be truly wise, and ever rejoice in his consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
